We Understand that it is difficult to make arrangements for your Children, but the Tattoo Shop is an Adult environment and you can’t watch your Kids when you’re trying to set up Appointments.


1. Do you take walk-ins or do I need an appointment?

We accept walk-ins, they are on a first come first serve basis depending on artist availability; appointments are preferred. If you are seeking a custom tattoo we highly encourage setting an appointment with one of our talented artist that way you can discuss ideas and allow us to be better prepared for your tattoo.

2. How do I make an appointment?

Appointments are scheduled in person at Dark Hearts Tattoo. Appointments require a non-refundable  deposit of $100-200. We understand your time is valuable, so we ask that you contact our shop at (909)350-2800 to make sure the artist of your choice is available for a consultation.

3. How much does a tattoo cost?

Tattoo pricing varies size, body placement, and details. We have a $100 minimum per tattoo. We do not charge by the hour, so depending on your tattoo, your artist will quote you a price during your consultation.

4. But I know someone that can do it for $50, why should I pay more?

There are a lot of things in life that you should never be cheap with; permanent body art (aka tattooing). Our talented artists dedicate their time to perfecting their skills and do their best to provide you with a tattoo that will stand the test of time. We stand by our work, and make sure that we provide a clean and safe environment for you to be tattooed in. Good tattoos aren’t cheap, and cheap tattoos aren’t good.

5. Do you accept credit cards?

Yes, we accept all major credit cards; we do prefer cash.

6. Should I tip my tattoo artist? 

Tattooing is a service, and if you feel that your artist did a good job in taking care of you and your tattoo, we humbly appreciate tips.

7. Is your shop licensed?

Yes, our shop and our artists are licensed by the San Bernardino County Health Department. All artists are independently blood borne certified by a licensed trainer through the state of California.

8. Do you do cover-ups and touch-ups?

Yes we do cover-ups, however there are several things your artist needs to go over with you before we agree to do a cover-up. We will need see a picture of the tattoo you want us to cover-up for you; must be in clear lighting and make sure the picture is taken by someone else. If at all possible, stop by the shop so that we can see it in person.

Touch-ups: we do touch-ups on tattoos we make, within the first two months of the tattoo being done (at no charge to you). Touch-ups are just that, touching up on certain areas that need to be darker or more solid due to the healing process. It doesn’t mean that we will redo your entire tattoo for free. Please make sure to contact your tattoo artist immediately after it’s healed to make sure that it’s healing properly.

9. Does getting a tattoo hurt?

Yes, it hurts. Everyone’s pain tolerance is different so it may not be as painful as your friends make it out to be. Some areas are more painful than others. The better you feel for your appointment, the better you will be able to sit through your session.  Please be well rested, well hydrated, and make sure to have eaten before coming in for your appointment.

10. Can I get a tattoo if I’ve been drinking?

No, we will not tattoo anyone who has been drinking or is drunk. Alcohol thins the blood, which means you will bleed more when getting your tattoo. Drinking alcohol does not stop the pain of a tattoo. It makes you move more to where you can’t sit still, making our job harder than it already is.

11. Do you guys do any piercings?

No, we do not offer piercings. We offer high quality tattoos.

12. Can I use a numbing cream or anesthetic?

Yes, if you would like to use a numbing cream you can use one. We recommend using Hush anesthetic; www.hushgel.com This company offers a numbing gel and numbing foam that is used together to help with the tattoo process. It is FDA approved. Please check out their website for more information.

13. Is getting a tattoo safe?

Please follow your artist’s instructions carefully to care for your tattoo properly. There is a risk of infection if you don’t care for your tattoo properly.

14. Can I bring family and friends?

Due to county health regulations, only the person getting tattooed is allowed in the tattoo area. While we appreciate you bringing someone for moral support, as tattoo artists, we need our full concentration before and during the procedure. Too many people can become annoying not only us, but other clients as well. We want to make sure we provide a comfortable environment for everyone to get tattooed in. So sorry, no entourage, family, friends, or children. NO ONE UNDER 18 ALLOWED, if there is they will be asked to leave. NO EXCEPTIONS.

15. Do you guys sell any aftercare products?

Absolutely, we highly recommend using H2Ocean Aftercare. It is specially formulated with all natural ingredients to soothe, heal and protect your new tattoo.   • Palm tattoos
  • Bottom of the foot tattoos (sorry can’t tattoo your sole)
